An ADI of 0-30 ?g/kg bw was established on the basis of a microbiological endpoint, equivalent to 0-1800 ?g for a 60-kg person.
The Estimated Daily Intake (EDI) for tylosin A was not determined because there were insufficient quantitative data points to calculate the median values for residues in food animal tissues. Using the model diet and the microbiological activity of tylosin A as 100% of the microbiological activity of the residue, the recommended MRLs would result in an intake of 230 ?g, which represents 13% of the upper bound of the ADI.
