Forest and Farm Champions: Rural Youth Shaping Tomorrow's Forests and Farms

This side event took place on 17 October from 14:00 to 15:00 (CEST) as part of the World Food Forum 2024. It aimed to amplify rural youth voices and highlight their contributions to environmental conservation and food security. The event, organized by FAO's Forestry Division and partnered with FFPOs, featuring young rural farmers from Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and Sierra Leone. The session was an excellent opportunity for these rural youths to participate in international discussions on a global stage and to highlight their work with local communities on sustainable forest and farm production, environmental conservation, and food security.
