Expert Consultation Towards FRA 2020
With the help of the Finnish Government, FRA has organized Expert Consultations at regular intervals over the past 30 years. The Expert Consultations provide technical guidance on the scope and standards of the global assessment in order to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across countries, organizations and processes.
The seventh Expert Consultation on FRA took place in Joensuu, Finland, from June 12-16,2017. Around 70 experts from over 25 countries, international organizations, academia and non-governmental organizations met in Joensuu to provide recommendations for the next global assessment, FRA 2020.
The event was financed by the European Commission, FAO, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and was organized in collaboration with the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE). The Expert Consultation report is available here.
