Global forest data goes mobile
28 October 2021 - FAO’s Global Forest Resources Assessment (FRA) open-access platform has now been optimized for mobile view, allowing easier access than ever to accurate and transparent forest data and trends for 236 countries and territories.
Understanding the world’s forests is vital to halt deforestation, tackle the climate emergency and track progress towards other targets under the Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement.
Everyone can visit the FRA platform from a mobile device for:
- a user-friendly interface in all six UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian)
- interactive data visualizations
- data and metadata on more than 60 forest-related variables
- statistical summaries at country, regional, global level as well as for custom groupings
- ready-to-use tables and bulk data download for analyses
