English: Justin is IT Consultant at the Regional Coordination of FAO’s project “Enhancing the contribution of non-wood forest products to poverty alleviation and food security in Central African countries” (GCP/RAF/411/GER). His main task is to assist the regional and national co-ordinations in all matters related to computer/ IT and communication. His responsibilities include IT support (networks, web, training, graphic design), production of communication materials and project documents, maintaining the project’s public library and internal archives, secretarial support, logistics and organization of workshops, trainings, exhibitions and other events such as PROMOTE in Cameroon.

He has worked on the following platforms: Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Server, Windows Vista and Windows 7 while knowing and using most of the different components of the Microsoft Office System. Justin also has knowledge of desktop publishing and is able to create a web site in HTML or PHP.

Before joining FAO, Justin worked for different companies and institutions such as GS Electronics, SOFAL, Bank of Central African States, SENECA, La Comete and Justo Computer. His various functions as manager, trainer, technical director and general manager in these organizations gave him the opportunity to develop and use his team working and technical skills for the set up and maintenance of databases and software.

Through the design and organization of training workshops, Justin significantly contributed to the better use of IT tools, data management and e-communication within FAO Cameroon and FAO’s non-wood forest products projects and other organizations such as IFAD and UNOWA.

French: Justin est IT/Consultant à la Coordination Régionale du Projet « Renforcement de la Sécurité Alimentaire en Afrique Centrale à travers la Gestion Durable des Produits Forestiers Non-Ligneux » de la FAO. Sa principale mission est d’assister les coordinations régionales et nationales dans toutes les questions informatiques et communications liées au projet dont les activités sont les suivantes : Appui informatique (réseaux, web, formation, infographie), production des supports de communication et des documents, archivage et bibliothèque, appui au secrétariat, appui logistique et organisationnel ateliers.

Il a travaillé sur les plates formes suivantes : Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professionnel, Windows Serveurs, Windows Vista, Windows 7 tout en maîtrisant la plus part des logiciels de la suite bureautique Microsoft Office Système. Il a également une connaissance des logiciels de PAO et est capable de créer un site en HTML ou en PHP.

Il a également participé à la politique de mise en œuvre de l’outil informatique et à l’organisation des ateliers et séminaires dans le cadre de la FAO, des projets PFNL de la FAO, de l’IFAD et de l’UNOWA et assuré une bonne visibilité par les supports de communication dans le stand du village bois et forêt lors des différentes éditions PROMOTE.
