GEO Forest Carbon Tracking Task (FCT) - National Demonstrators meeting and 2nd Science and Data Summit

The Group on Earth Observation (GEO) and FAO are hosting two meetings:

1. First National Demonstrator Summit (7/2/2011); and

2. Second Science and Data Summit (8-11/2/2011)

Venue: The meeting will be held at FAO Headquarters, in Rome, Italy.

The meetings are by invitation only and this information is for invited participants. 

1. First National Demonstrator Summit (Monday 7/2/2010):

This meeting aims to build closer links between National Demonstrator authorities and GEO-FCT Product development teams and identify synergies with FAO and UN-REDD work. The agenda and presentation template are available for download from the links on the right on this page.

2. Second GEO-FCT Science and Data Summit (8 to 10/2/2010)

The agenda is available for download from the links on the right on this page. The meeting objectives include:

1. Product development (PD) progress reports and presentation of FCT demonstration products
2. PD team assessments of Key Science Questions
3. Methodology issues and towards common standards
4. GEO-FCT Key Document coordination - working group session
5. GEO-FCT Scientific Roadmap
6. GEO-FCT - UN-REDD - FAO (FRA and NFMA) synergies
7. GEO-FCT – UNFCCC relationship consolidation
