Join the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) online for the sixth and final webinar in a dynamic webinar series focused on developing a resilient and sustainable forest-based bioeconomy. 

This session will summarize the key findings and actions from global discussions, highlighting innovative solutions and strategies for advancing the forest-based bioeconomy. We’ll explore how these insights will inform efforts to scale up innovations that promote sustainability within the sector.  

Objectives

  • share up-to-date perspectives on the future of forest-based bioeconomy approaches, with a
    focus on where enhanced collaboration can address knowledge gaps;
  • provide the latest bioeconomy-related insights, including opportunities and challenges related
    to cooperation, arising from UNFCCC COP30, G20 and FAO;
  • offer perspectives from a range of forest-sector stakeholders and geographic backgrounds on
    the needs and opportunities for global cooperation to ensure that forest-based bioeconomy approaches are sustainable and upscaled; and
  • present a wrap-up of the global webinar series and an outlook on the upcoming Global Summit on Advancing Sustainable Forest-based Bioeconomy Approaches.

This global webinar series is an integral part of the Country and Organization-Led Initiative on Sustainable Forest-based Bioeconomy Approaches and is supported by the Federal Ministry, Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management, Republic of Austria, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland.
