Are you a young scientist or professional passionate about forest health from the Asia-Pacific region? FAO & the Asia-Pacific Forest Invasive Species Network (APFISN) are holding a Youth action in forest health competition, and it’s your chance to step into the spotlight and showcase your research on a global stage!
Pitch your innovative research in just five minutes – be concise, impactful, and engaging while you highlight how your work contributes to tackling forest health challenges. It’s an opportunity to get noticed by leading experts and fellow young scientists, gain valuable feedback from experienced professionals, and spark discussions that could shape the future of forest health.
The research can be on anything forest health-related – show us what you’re working on and what you’re passionate about!
Competition format
🔹 Selection: Participants will be chosen based on the novelty and impact of their research.
🔹Presentation: Each finalist gets 5 minutes to present their research in English using PowerPoint.
🔹 Judging: A panel of experts and junior scientists will evaluate presentations and give their feedback. The audience will also have a chance to choose their favourite!
The winner will receive a certificate from the FAO Forestry Director.
