Use and application of CFS policy recommendations on price volatility and food security, and social protection for food security and nutrition
The Committee on World Food Security (CFS) has consistently encouraged stakeholders to voluntarily share their experiences and good practices in applying CFS policy products through reporting individual (direct) experiences by one group of stakeholders or through reporting the results of multi-stakeholder consultations or events (organized to discuss experiences) by several groups of stakeholders.

FSN Forum workshop: Inclusive policy dialogue to make trade policies conducive to food security and nutrition
To support the further development of the FSN Forum in ECA and to ensure its full ownership by regional actors from different backgrounds (including from civil society, academy, research and government), the two day workshop “Inclusive policy dialogue to make trade policies conducive to food security and nutrition” took place in FAO, Rome on 16-17 December 2014.

Street food and urban and periurban agriculture and horticulture: perspectives for a strategic coalition towards food security
The aim of this discussion is to share perspectives on actual and potential links between street food vending and urban and periurban agriculture and horticulture, analyzing if and in which way such links may represent the basis for possible strategies to enhance food security in urban areas.

Ebola and food security and nutrition in West Africa: facing the challenges
This online consultation is promoted by the Platform of Alliances against Hunger and Malnutrition in West Africa in collaboration with the FSN Forum in West Africa. The online discussion aims to start the debate on Ebola and food security and nutrition in West Africa in order to gather strategy proposals with the purpose of anticipating a generalized food and nutrition crisis in the next few months in West Africa.

HLPE consultation on the V0 draft of the Report: Water and Food Security
In October 2013, the Committee on World Food Security requested the High Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE) to prepare a report on Water and Food Security. Final findings of the study will feed into CFS 42nd session in October 2015.
As part of the process of elaboration of its reports, the HLPE now seeks inputs, suggestions, comments on the present V0 draft. This e-consultation will be used by the HLPE to further elaborate the report, which will then be submitted to external expert review, before finalization and approval by the HLPE Steering Committee.

In order to implement FAO’s Partnerships Strategy in line with the FAO Strategic Objectives and the regional priorities, the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (FAO REU) imitated a regional consultative process with civil society organisations and other relevant stakeholders.

Nutrition education as a strategy to strengthen family farming households and improve people's diets
