I am working on:

Xavier is a Spanish vegetation ecologist specialized in geospatial sciences. He has been working with the UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) providing technical assistance to UN-REDD Programme countries in the use of spatial data. More recently, he coordinated UNEP-WCMC’s contribution to Nature Map, a project that has developed new ways of analysing biodiversity and carbon values. Before this, Xavier worked for several years with institutions such as the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC) or the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) in research projects aiming to assess climate change impacts and the role of forests and other ecosystems in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
