Глобальный форум по продовольственной безопасности и питанию (Форум FSN)

Reliable information on forests is fundamental for improving the management of forest resources. This information can be used as an indicator of biodiversity, hydrology, and soil conservation and is also needed to fulfil the reporting requirements of many international agreements, such as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. In this context, the 21st Committee on Forestry requested FAO to prepare a set of voluntary guidelines on national forest monitoring.

В целях накопления знаний и ведения диалога по вопросам реформ в области социальной защиты в странах пост-советского пространства, Региональное отделение ФАО для Европы и Центральной Азии (REU) выступило с инициативой проведения  онлайн-консультации, которая проходит на базе региональной платформы Глобального форума ФАО по продовольственной безопасности и питанию (Форум FSN для стран ЕЦА).

This discussion is aimed at food security practitioners from all across the globe to discuss how food security can be improved in Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies and beyond. Your inputs will feed into the APEC Food Security Training and Workshop hosted by the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences in Beijing.

SecureNutrition и Форум по продовольственной безопасности и питанию сотрудничают во второй раз для проведения данной онлайн-дискуссии в тесной взаимосвязи с Глобальным форумом по программам социальной защиты, учитывающим вопросы питания, который пройдет 10-11 сентября 2015 года в Москве, Россия.

Honeybees provide a wide range of benefits to humans from honey, other bee products, pollination of food crops and ecological services. Beekeeping is practiced around the world, and can provide a valuable source of income to people in developing regions with relatively little investment. However, apiculture faces a number of challenges that can impact on the health and survival of the colony. What can we do to create sustainable conditions for agriculture and apiculture to coexist and to benefit from each other?

The Institute of Development Studies and the FAO are launching this online discussion focusing on food security, gender equality and peace-building. The results will help inform a study aimed at generating evidence-based, meaningful, and actionable recommendations to governments and other stakeholders, particularly international organizations and FAO staff.

The main purpose of this joint Red ICEAN & FSN Forum effort is taking stock of and capitalizing on what countries in Latin America are doing, to effectively address the double burden of malnutrition. The discussion will be an opportunity to exchange ideas, share resources and gain a common understanding on this complex issue. 

Forest dependent people are often located in remote and poor areas where livelihood opportunities are limited. Poverty, vulnerability, marginalization and social exclusion are among the major challenges they face. In these contexts, forests often serve as a safety net to cope with crises, which can lead to the unsustainable management of forest resources. What is the role of social protection in promoting and protecting the livelihood of forest-dependent people?

Цель этой межрегиональной онлайн-дискуссии заключается в предоставлении заинтересованным сторонам возможности для обмена личным опытом, знаниями и региональной передовой практикой в вопросах укрепления Аграрных Инновационных Систем  в странах Центральной Азии и Кавказа (ЦАК), а также в Китае. Результаты онлайн-дискуссии будут являться важной информацией для очной консультации по обсуждению Плана действий по совершенствованию системы Сельских консультационных служб в странах ЦАК и Китае, которая пройдет в форме сопутствующего мероприятия в рамках 6-го ежегодного совещания Глобального форума по сельским консультационным услугам.

The goal of this consultation is to identify potential ideas of innovations in agriculture that could promote better nutrition.
