An IFAD funded project-Adaptation for Smallholders in Hilly Areas(ASHA), led by Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, Government of Nepal. It works for smallholders of hilly region of six most vulnerable districts(Kalikot, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Rukum, Rolpa and Salyan) of former mid-western region of Nepal, with the overarching goal of rural poverty reduced in the hilly regions challenged facing consequences of climate change.
It has main two outcomes: (I) A scalable climate change adaptation framework for the agriculture sector supported by participating institutions, districts and communities and (II) Climate informed and gender-sensitive natural resource management and climate resilient agricultural and forestry practices and technologies implemented.
