| Objective / Goal | This GCF readiness support will support Equatorial Guinea to advance its national REDD+ readiness process, specifically through technical assistance to (i) design and develop a National Forest Monitoring System (NFMS) in support of Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) for REDD+ and (ii) to develop its national Forest Reference Emission Level (FREL/FRL). These activities will contribute to reinforce the capacity for Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) to generate reliable forest resource information for national forest policies, planning and sustainable development, and to produce greenhouse gas (GHG) estimates for the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector. |
