Contributing to Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) Target Setting by Demonstrating the LDN Approach in the Upper Sakarya Basin for Scaling up at National Level

The project seeks to develop a model for Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) target setting, planning and implementation in the Sakarya basin, which will eventually be scaled up to national level. Using a phased approach, the project aims to first strengthen the enabling environment for Land Degradation Neutrality  and multi-sectoral land-use planning processes in Turkey, followed by development of a Decision Support System (DSS) for LDN.

The project concept was approved during the 52nd GEF Council meeting, held in May 2017.
