- The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) represents the farmers and growers of England and Wales and is the largest farming organization in the country. Its central objective is to promote successful and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture, while ensuring the long-term viability of rural communities. NFU provides professional representation and services to its farmer and grower members. NFU was founded in 1908 and is not affiliated with any political party.
In response to increasing demands and time pressures on farmers and growers, the NFU increased its support services, offering help with legal, planning and taxation matters, marketing and food promotion.

- Rural Community Network (RCN) is a regional Northern Ireland voluntary organization established by community groups from rural areas in 1991 to articulate the voice of rural communities on issues relating to poverty, disadvantage and equality.
It delivered “The Women Participating in Rural Development Programme” which was awarded funding of £453 750 under the EU Programme for Building Sustainable Prosperity (PBSP) in 2004. - The mission of the Women’s Resource and Development Agency (WRDA) as a Northern Ireland regional organization is to advance women’s equality and participation in society by working to bring about social, political and economic change for women. - South Armagh Rural Women’s Network (SARWN) is a voluntary organization established in Northern Ireland by local women to articulate the voice of rural women. Formed in 1999, it is a membership organization with over 25 member groups. The organization works with women’s groups and individual women providing a range of information, advice and support, such as funding advice for groups who wish to apply for project costs, grassroots local support for women and contacts with a varied range of service and education providers, funders, local women’s groups and community associations. http://www.sarwn.org/index.asp

- Women in Agriculture is a local organization located in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, which aims to provide recognition for the role and contribution of women engaged in the agricultural industry and to address the difficulties that farms have in being viable and sustainable within the community. - Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) is the governmental national umbrella of the Rural Community Action Network, which operates at national, regional and local levels in support of rural communities across the country. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has invested in the Rural Community Action Network under a three-year contract, administered by ACRE, to deliver strategic advocacy on behalf of rural communities. http://www.acre.org.uk/
