FAO and the International Trade Centre (ITC) organize a working session at the 2016 WTO Public Forum on: "Inclusive Trade & Growth: Building the link between smallholder farmers and international value chains". 

Thursday, 29 September 2016, (17:00-18:30) WTO, Room W  

A panel of leading experts representing government, international organizations, farmers and the private sector will discuss efforts to ensure sustainability of supply to meet global food demand, whilst securing benefits for small-scale farmers. Current policies, practical case studies and innovative initiatives as well as possible new policy making strategies for inclusive and sustainable trade will be explored.
