UNECE/FAO Conference on Food Loss & Waste

In the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), organized a special Conference on Food Loss and Waste at the UNOG, on the occasion of the annual session of the UNECE Working Party on Agricultural Quality Standards. Experts on food loss and waste from governments' agencies, large retailers, cooperatives and international organizations addressed today’s most pressing challenges in reducing the large amounts of food wasted worldwide.
