The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) 2020 is the result of a joint, consensus-based assessment of acute food insecuritysituations around the world by 16 partner organizations.
The 2019 edition of The State of Food and Agriculture (SOFA) report focuses on food losses and waste, providing new estimates of the world’s food post-harvest up to, but excluding, the retail level.

The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World is an annual flagship report jointly prepared by FAO, IFAD, UNICEF, WFP and WHO to inform on progress towards ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition and to provide in-depth analysis on key challenges for achieving this goal in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2019 gives an updated estimate of the number of hungry people in the world, including regional and national breakdowns, and the latest data on child stunting and wasting as well as on adult and child obesity.
This book tells the story of these seven decades of the history of FAO, its protagonists and their endeavours. We have dug into the FAO archives to bring to light unpublished black and white images, which form a portfolio of evocative images of the early years of the Organization.
