Regional Consultation on West African Land Cover Reference System

On the 3rd of July, the Regional Consultation on West African Land Cover Reference System will take place at 3 pm.
The West African Land Cover Reference System (WALCRS) is a harmonized and ISO-based international reference system for creating regional land cover legends. It aims to provide consistent and systematic land cover datasets to address social and environmental challenges. Various organizations and projects support the system, and this consultation seeks to strengthen collaboration and operationalize the WALCRS at regional and national levels. The objective is to establish reliable baseline land cover information for West African countries
