A training on Agro-Ecological zoning (AEZ) is organized from 26 to 29 October 2022 in Quetta, the capital of the province of Balochistan, Pakistan. The aim of the workshop was to bring together experts from the Balochistan Water Management Authority, academia and FAO as part of the "Balochistan Water Recovery Program (RBWRP)" to discuss the requirements to develop an update of the agroecological zoning of the province taking into account the productivity of the main crops. Experts were introduced to the use of PyAEZ, a software package developed to generate land suitability and crop productivity.
