On 1st July 2022, a consultation on identification of Nature Based Solutions (Nbs) and use of geospatial was organized by FAO, the International Council for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) in collaboration with Asian Institute of Technology at Departments of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vinh City, Vietnam. During the consultation, technical discussion focused on overview of Nature-based Solutions (NbS), livelihood and ecological issues, assessment of potential benefits in Thanh Chương  and Cuông districts. Various maps including on land cover, land use, flood risk assessment were made available to participants to identify priority locations where Nbs intervention to be implemented.
