The LIB/00/004 Mapping of Natural Resources for Agriculture Use and Planning in Libya project was initiated to strengthen the capacity of the General People's Committee for Agriculture, Animal and Marine Wealth (GAAAMW) to manage land resources at national and sub-national levels through the establishment of a strategy and a spatially-based operational decision support system: the Land Resources Information Management system for Libya (LRIMS). In line with the above, the report introduces valuable information, of which a considerable part is based on LRIMS. The atlas is envisioned as a major achievement of LIB/00/004 towards better agriculture-related information management in Libya.
