Introductory course to Google Earth Engine

FAO Geospatial Unit (NSL) and FAO Pakistan prepared an Introductory course on Google Earth Engine for land cover classification. The objective of this publication is to document training materials and lessons provided to technicians on operating the platform, selection, pre-processing and analyzing satellite imagery for agriculture and food security, in particular for the identification of specific crops by using e.g. automatic classification approach. The book is thought for specialists on mapping, land use planning, agronomists and food security experts. It requires an understanding of the main satellite missions, basic concepts of remote sensing and scripting languages.
