GEOCARBON is an international Collaborative Project (large scale integrating project) for specific cooperation actions (SICA), dedicated to partner countries under the European Commission – FP7. This work is an update of a previous study carried out by the University of Tuscia (Italy) in cooperation with FAO, and aims to implement a global geodatabase of soil carbon stocks at finer resolution. The availability of high resolution maps provides a considerable support to policy makers in land management and planning activities.
