USAID requests information for a New Landscape Scale (AFOLU) GHG Calculator Tool - Deadline 30/12/2022, 5 PM EST

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking information and recommendations for the development of a new tool to measure the impact of activities to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU).

USAID is particularly interested in technical input on the feasibility and ease of building a new calculator tool to help USAID Missions and operating units track and report on USAID climate indicators and align with the priorities of the USAID Climate Strategy.

The deadline to submit responses is 30 December, 5 PM EST. They welcome inputs from:

  • Organizations and businesses operating in the GHG calculator, monitoring, or emissions modeling or tracking space
  • Geospatial industry forest monitoring experts  
  • GHG accounting industry experts  
  • Academics working on methane, carbon dioxide, and/or nitrous oxide tracking or calculating
  • Public and private sector entities working in fields such as, but not limited to, GHG calculators, carbon finance, and public geospatial mapping platforms etc.
