Attendees can now plan their participation in the Global Forest Observations Initiative’s flagship event.

The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) has released the agenda, side events and exhibition booths schedules for the GFOI Plenary 2023. Attendees can now plan their participation in the event, which will take place between 9-11 May in Rome.

The annual GFOI Plenary brings together the global community of practitioners who support tropical countries in forest monitoring and associated emissions Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) procedures. The Plenary aims to share information and ideas, review progress and identify new opportunities for helping countries to improve their forest monitoring capabilities to enable better forest management and ultimately the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The side events, which will run alongside the main plenary sessions, will provide opportunities for attendees to engage in more in-depth discussions on specific topics, network with peers, and showcase their work.

Further details can be found on the GFOI Plenary 2023 website. In-person registration for the event is now closed, however those interested can continue to register for virtual participation.
