National Seminar in Gafsa to validate National Charter for Tunisia's Oases

A National Seminar was held in Gafsa on 13-14 April 2012 to validate the National Charter for the dynamic conservation and development of Tunisia's Oases.
The National Charter aims at establishing the legal framework for the dynamic conservation and development of Tunisian Oasis. It focuses in promoting the conservation of the Oasis' natural resources through the implementation of integrated and complimentary management practices, increasing agricultural productivity, improving incomes and livelihoods of the Oasis communities and implementing tools to increase long term investments in the Oasis.
