The GIAHS Workshop on "Management of important agriculture and fisheries heritage systems in East Asia" aims to showcase the national efforts and initiatives in conserving and managing its agricultural and fisheries heritage systems in East Asia, mainly China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, review how the GIAHS sites are managed after designation and discuss way forward to enhance management and better link GIAHS with the national initiatives for potential synergies.
