As a result of the attentive screening and field survey conducted by the experts of the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG), three new GIAHS sites have been recognized in the SAG meeting of 28-30 November 2018: 

1. Qanat–based Saffron Farming System in Gonabad, Islamic Republic of Iran

2. The Argan-based agro-sylvo-pastoral system within the area Ait Souab-Ait Mansour Region, Morocco

3. The Agricultural System Ancient Olive Trees Territorio Sénia, Spain
