25/05/2021,

In early May 2021, the Government of Morocco announced it would re-impose custom duties on soft and hard wheat imports until further notice. The country regularly revises its customs duties depending on the supply/demand situation in the country. Customs duties on soft wheat increased from zero to 135 percent, starting 15  May 2021, and on hard wheat from zero to 170 percent, starting 1 June 2021. Wheat production in 2021 is forecast at 7.2 million tonnes, well above the previous five-year average and nearly threefold the drought-affected harvest in 2020, following conducive weather conditions.
