The FAO/WHO GIFT platform is funded in part by a four-year grant (2018–2022) from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The funding is aimed at transforming the platform into a robust global tool by:

  • expanding the geographical coverage and increasing the number of shared datasets;
  • improving underlying methods for data processing, analysis and harmonization;
  • increasing the number and variety of indicators included;
  • improving the user-friendliness of the platform;
  • stimulating the effective use of the data provided, in particular to improve agriculture and nutrition policies and programmes;
  • developing capacities at country level in dietary data management, analysis and harmonization.

Stay in touch and watch us grow with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation support. Write to [email protected] to be included in our mailing list so you do not miss the latest updates on the datasets available on the platform and other events.
