Second meeting of the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN)

The Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) was formally established in November 2017, with the objective to facilitate the sharing of experience among laboratory managers.

Agenda

This network is aiming to strengthen the performance of laboratories in support of the harmonization of soil data sets and information towards the development of global standards. Indeed, the harmonization of soil analysis is a critical component of making soil information comparable and interpretable across laboratories, countries and regions.

The objectives of the 2nd GLOSOLAN meeting were:

  • To consolidate the structural organization of the network
  • To discuss the soil laboratory data and information policy
  • To agree on the execution of regional and global ring tests
  • To discuss the development of global and regional Standard Operational Procedures and guidelines
