INSOP-INFA joint meeting on fertilizer quality assessment
FAO's Global Soil Partnership together with two of its technical networks, the International Network on Soil Pollution (INSOP) and the International Network on Fertilizer Analysis (INFA) have invited individuals to participate in activities related to fertilizer quality assessment.
The kick-off meeting allowed experts to share their knowledge and discuss the negative impact of mineral fertilizers, specifically phosphates, on agricultural soil and food crops. Guest speakers from the INFA network presented the latest research and evidence on the misuse and overuse of phosphate fertilizers causing soil pollution.
