Remarkable progress is coming from Australia with the first ‘Report Card’ mapping performances in the implementation of Sustainable Soil Management as referred to in the Revised World Soil Charter. 

The development of the Global Soil Information System under Pillar 4 of the Global Soil Partnership (GSP) foresees the establishment of a Soil Data Facility (SDF). 

The Global Soil Partnership Plenary Assembly (PA) constitutes the main venue where all GSP partners come together to make important decisions about the global soil agenda. The 5^th PA of the Global Soil Partnership will take place at FAO headquarters in Rome from 20 to 22 June 2017.

During 20-24 March 2017, ITPS members convened its sixth working session at FAO HQ in Rome, Italy.
