Don't miss the chance to win the Soil Biodiversity Photo & Video Contest

FAO and the Global Soil Partnership has just launched a photo and video contest on Soil Biodiversity

19/04/2020

The main objective of the contest is to promote the importance of soil organisms and raise awareness on the urgency of protecting soil biodiversity. In the process, it creates a discussion and audience participation on social media on this topic.

The competition is divided into two categories: Mega & Macrofauna and Meso & Microfauna.

Competitors are required to submit either high definition pictures or short videos, time-lapse taken through any device, including a microscope.

The winner will be rewarded a cash prize of $500. In addition, the five finalists of the competition will receive soil related gadgets, an official certificate of recognition and special promotion on FAO media.

Remember, participants must own the copyright of the photos and videos submitted. It is possible to include images/videos shot prior to the contest launch. FAO-GSP respects the rights of all participants and does not claim copyright over the submitted images/videos. Whenever the image is published under FAO-GSP, the author will be credited.

The deadline to send your submission/s is 30 June 2020. Each participant can submit the five entries by filling and submitting the registration form.
