World Soil Day, 5 December 2020 was celebrated under the slogan “Keep soil alive, Protect soil biodiversity” with almost 800 events in 105 countries around the world. Millions of people were touched by the FAO Global Soil Partnership communication campaign.
GSP conducted an online interview Dr Diana Wall, a renowned soil ecologist and environmental scientist, and the keynote speaker for the Global Symposium on Soil Biodiversity (GSOBI20). Dr. Wall addressed the main constraints and obstacles in considering soil biodiversity as a nature-based solution to today’s global challenges, provided some key methods to address these obstacles, and the implementation methods.
