A country driven approach
AGRISurvey does not impose a model or standard questionnaires to partners countries. Rather, it builds on national practices and national priorities.
AGRISurvey is meant to be a country-owned process, implemented by national statistical agencies and carried out in accordance with Statistical Law and existing Strategic Plans. The tool should be implemented with a clear governance structure and result based annual work programmes.
Countries will have the possibility to customize the tool to their specific needs, complementing current survey systems and building on previous efforts.
To participate in the project, partner countries will be requested to demonstrate the commitment to building their agricultural statistics system and to incrementally taking over the funding responsibilities of the integrated survey system.
