Countries receive technical assistance to design and implement the survey programme that will address their data needs. Through the 50x2030 Initiative, the programme provides as well financial support to countries for data collection.
The programme supports partner countries in including an integrated agricultural survey system in their national statistical planning, building on already existing survey instruments.
It also works with partner countries to strengthen their processes for data dissemination and it promotes data use activities to ensure increased and improved use of survey data to inform decision making by key actors.
All the processes are developed around the country's needs in close collaboration with data users and producers, ensuring the engagement of the main stakeholders. National Statistical Offices and ministries in charge of the production of agricultural data are supported in assessing their agricultural data need and in building together a customized version of the survey tool that will produce the critical data for policy decision making and reporting needs.
