Peru to strengthen access of new agricultural products to the Asian market
The goal is to reach US $7 billion in agricultural exports by the end of 2018.

José Arista, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of Peru, said that his sector will strengthen the access of new products to the Asian market with the goal of reaching a volume of US $7 billion in agricultural exports this year.
He highlighted the star agroexport products, such as blueberries, avocados, mangoes, grapes, and others, which are taking the world's main markets by storm. "The goal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation is to find markets and make agriculture a profitable activity and we must therefore not only reach internal markets but also external markets. We are committed to producers in the Andean areas, which can consequently earn more income," he stated.
