The third meeting of the Steering Committee (SC) of the project “Protection of the Canary Current Large Marine Ecosystem” (CCLME) was held in Tenerife, Spain on 29 and 30 November 2012. Representatives of six of the participating countries of the project (Morocco, Cape Verde, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau) (Mauritania was unable to attend), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Secretariat of the Abidjan Convention and the Regional Coordination Unit attended the meeting.
