Common Oceans is hosting a side-event during this week’s GEF Assembly. Partners from the global program will present key issues affecting ABNJ followed by a panel discussion.

Just days after the Africa Progress Report 2014 found fisheries in Africa are losing billions of dollars due to illegal practices, Ghana has taken a first step toward implementing an innovative partnership aimed at combating illegal, unreported and unregulated tuna fishing.

The FAO, together with Program partners,  will host an Information Session on the Common Oceans Program during the Global Oceans Action Summit for Food Security and Blue Growth.
