Training on the new CountrySTAT in Madagascar

The Government of the Republic of Madagascar, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), announces a training workshop on the new CountrySTAT - Madagascar.

The workshop will take place in the FAO Ankorahotra’s premises from 20 - 23 June 2016, in Antananarivo, Madagascar.  The workshop will be preceded by a Technical Working Group meeting on 17 June.

The training will be in French and the list of participants includes Technical Working Group members from the Ministère de l'Agriculture et de l'Elevage, Ministère de l'Environnement, de l'Ecologie et de Forets, Institut National de la Statistique, Ministère du Commerce et de la Consommation, and other national institutions that produce data relevant to agriculture and food in the country.

The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with an introduction to the new CountrySTAT platform. Participants will receive a basic training on the use of the new CountrySTAT platform, and learn how to manage the international coding systems in order to make data available online.

In particular, the workshop will focus on:

  • The new CountrySTAT platform based on FENIX
  • The data management tool
  • The thematic modules.
