La FAO está permitiendo el acceso libre y abierto a su depósito central de datos, FAOSTAT, la base de datos estadísticos más grande y completa del mundo en materia de alimentos, agricultura y el hambre, anunció hoy la Organización.

FAO is granting free and open access to its central data repository, FAOSTAT, the world's largest and most comprehensive statistical database on food, agriculture, and hunger, the UN agency announced today.  

According to Mr Paul N'Goma Kimbatsa, Lead Technical Officer of CountrySTAT and representative of the Direction of FAO Statistics Division, if governments realize that Agriculture is the first of priorities, this will already be a giant step towards the solution of problems related to food insecurity.
