Training and webinars

The EX-ACT team provides training and webinars to partner institutions that are interested in forming independent users of one or more of the tools in the EX-ACT suite. The webinars touch upon the key components of each tool and their use, highlighting the scientific references and the potentials for the analysis of the environmental and climate of policy and project interventions in the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector.

Standard trainings usually revolve around the following points:

  • why the tool was developed;
  • how the tool works: methodology and guidelines;
  • exercises and case studies;
  • deepening the analysis: using different tiers and integrating the EX-ACT tools.

Thanks to examples and exercises that can be tailored to the needs of the partner, the trainings develop the expertise of prospective users and allow them to produce more accurate analysis.

Trainings and webinars can be offered to institutional partners, as well as Universities and private organizations. The most common partnering institutions are national ministries of agriculture and environment, multilateral and bilateral development agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.

Currently, EX-ACT workshops have been carried out in over 40 countries with a main focus on developing countries. Many training workshops lead to subsequent detailed EX-ACT analyses, which can be requested at the following address: [email protected]
