The EU-STREIT PNG Programme is the European Union's largest grant initiative in the Pacific, dedicated to transforming rural livelihoods in PNG. It is implemented by five United Nation’s agencies and focuses on enhancing agribusiness value chains—such as cocoa, vanilla, and fisheries—while promoting access to digital services, financial inclusion, and sustainable energy.
The Programme's interventions over the years are contributing to four strategic priority areas (SPAs) of Papua New Guinea's Medium Term Development Plan IV. Here, the EU-STREIT ProgramMe Coordinator, Mr Ali Said Yesuf, gives an insight into the Programme's contribution to the four SPAs of the MTDP IV.
