Organized under the umbrella of the FAO–Türkiye Forestry Partnership Programme, this training workshop will be implemented as part of the activities of the project “Improving Biodiversity and Sustainable Forestry (GCP/SEC/025/TUR)”. The event is a joint effort with the Regional Priority Programme (RPP) on Natural Resources, aimed at strengthening regional capacities and knowledge sharing.

The primary objective is to provide practical guidance on applying participatory, gender-responsive, and data-driven approaches to sustainable forest management. The training will emphasize biodiversity mainstreaming objectives and share Türkiye’s good practices with regional experts.

The workshop will be facilitated by FAO experts and will feature technical sessions, group discussions, and field exercises. This methodology is designed to ensure coherence with the RPP framework and promote regional collaboration. Key outcomes and recommendations will be documented to support national planning.
