23 June 2020 - The fisheries and aquaculture sector have significantly expanded in the past decades, with global fish production estimated to have reached about 179 million tonnes in 2018, along with increasing trade and consumption. 

20 May 2020; Ankara– FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey launched a joint national media campaign “Save Your Food” to raise public awareness about the detrimental impacts of food loss and waste, and to stimulate action along the food supply chain.

20 December 2019; Ankara– FAO started the implementation of a technical assistance project Reduction of Food Loss and Waste in the SEC Countries within the framework of the second phase of FAO-Turkey Partnership Program on Food and Agriculture. 

19 December 2019; Tashkent– The FAO Turkey Partnership Programme (FTPP) gained momentum with another signature ceremony held between FAO and Uzbekistan at Tashkent last month.

04 December 2019; Baku – The Sixth Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture was held today in Baku.
