Online Communities of Practice
The Forest and Landscape Restoration Mechanism (FLRM) online Communities of Practice (CoPs) support forest and landscape restoration (FLR) by creating communication channels across diverse networks, promoting innovation and technological support, facilitating space to share experiences and inspiring examples on the ground.
The aim of the FLRM CoPs is to open a network that brings experience and learning together in a virtual space through online exchange.
Engage and learn with other practitioners involved in FLR by joining our CoPs:
- Forest and Landscape Restoration – 1 500+ members;
- Local finance for forest and landscape restoration – 1 100+ members;
- Mediterranean Forestry Network – 600+ members;
- The Restoration Initiative Online Community – closed to TRI members;
- The Global Partnership on Forest and Landscape Restoration – closed to GPFLR members; and
- UN Decade Task Force on Best Practices – closed to Task Force members.
The FLRM CoPs offer:
- an online space for FLR practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and the private sector to find free technical advice and support for knowledge issues;
- structured learning opportunities that respond to its members’ needs;
- innovation processes and the collection of key knowledge resources made widely available; and
- high-quality tools and knowledge documents.
These communities support the global restoration movement in achieving its goals, especially in the coming United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. As a member, you have access to:
- webinars and the recorded videos;
- facilitated email-based exchanges – as often as you choose;
- a network of FLR experts and practitioners; and
- updates on job opportunities, events, news and knowledge resources.
Activities
By bringing practitioners together for this online discussion, participants can share knowledge and innovation, learn and further develop participatory FLR. The communities will be central to all activities and will shape joint actions and exchanges.
The communities have taken part in several online knowledge-sharing fora: to watch our webinars, see the dedicated page.
