15/09/2021

FAO's FLRM e-learning course "Sustainable financing of Forest and Landscape Restoration" is now available in French. The self-paced e-learning course is free of charge, and is certified through the digital badge certification system.

The FAO course is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about financing forest and landscape restoration and using public and private financing more efficiently.

It aims to strengthen your ability to analyze forest and landscape restoration financial needs and opportunities and make you more effective at understanding funding streams and securing funds for your projects and interventions.

The course will examine the cost and benefits of forest and landscape restoration, barriers to accessing financing, and how to create an enabling environment for restoration.

The course is available as a global public good through the FAO e-learning Academy. The Academy is adopting the Digital Badges Certification System, to certify the acquisition of competencies, in order to progress talents within organizations and increase employment opportunities. A certification granted by FAO, by passing the final scenario-based performance evaluation test, is now associated to the e-learning courses. Badges are an official recognition of competencies acquired and are part of the professional profile of learners, who can then incorporate them in their LinkedIn, e-portfolio, curriculum on the web, for employment purposes, education, or lifelong learning.
