Objective / Goal To support Rwanda in addressing environmental challenges such as soil erosion, reduced soil fertility, and natural resource degradation by promoting sustainable agriculture, agroforestry practices, and landscape restoration. This includes fostering cross-sectoral coordination, enhancing practitioners' capacities, and increasing investments in forest and landscape restoration.

Key achievements include:

  • The development of Rwanda's Agroforestry Strategy. 

  • The establishment of a national taskforce for sustainable agriculture.

  • Practical landscape restoration efforts, such as planting 12 000 tree seedlings, which contribute to improving soil conservation, food security and natural resource management.
